Kids grow in mind, body, and spirit at the Karate Institute!
Instruction in the martial arts is primarily instruction in self-defense. With children, we emphasize the skills needed to avoid bullies, threatening strangers, and other unsafe situations. We teach the children the basics of self-defense by developing Awareness of their surroundings, recognizing the need to keep strangers outside their boundaries for safety and comfort, and being prepared to Combat any attempts at violence if necessary. We also believe that a confident child is a much safer child. Our children's programs develop a child's body, mind, and spirit in order to give each student a chance for a safer, happier, and more successful life.
